Some time has passed since Thanksgiving and Christmas. π
But, I'm still going to write about it because I want the memories! And it's the most wonderful time of the year...
We alternate Thanksgiving each year and 2016 was our year with my family. We gathered in Salado and it was a beautiful day!
Baby's first Thanksgiving. π
All the cousins. Don't you love how excited they are?!?
A couple years ago, we told our families we would be spending Christmas at our home. So Thanksgiving also means early Christmas. And everyone also gives Oliver his b-day presents. It's fun for him, ha!! He goes through a phase of thinking everywhere he goes, he gifts showered with gifts. π
Amelia got a baby doll and she loved it. So cute!!!
We left Salado and went to Amarillo for Thanksgiving 2.0 and I promise Oliver was there. He just wasn't feeling pics and we chose not to fight that battle.
Papa Tuck and Mama Pat drove over from New Mexico. Always so good to see them.
Then to Oklahoma!
Honey Lue and Grandad Larry took us to see some big farm equipment and Oliver's day was made.
Then we did our Christmas tour and came home and my sister, Carrie, took me to see Amy Grant and Vince Gill at The Ryman and it was everything I hoped it would be. ππ»
We had lazy days filled with crafts, Santa, Christmas movies, and sugary snacks.
Santa!
Amelia's first Christmas! The chair was my mom's gift to her and I waited until Christmas morning to put it out. She approved.
My world...
Travis and Amy (Trent's brother and his wife) mailed gifts and got me a soap making kit!!! So thoughtful.
Funny story. I ordered a remote control helicopter for Trent but it didn't make it in time. I was bummed, but thought it would still be fun to open after the fact. Nothing wrong with a late Christmas gift, right? He still had another gift from me to open and one from Travis, too. He opened the gift from Travis and what was it? A remote control helicopter. What. Are. The. Odds??? π
We then went to my sister's house for Christmas dinner.
Real life...
It was a merry day and it'll be here before we know it.
