October: No One Can Ever Accuse Me Of Blogging In A Timely Manner

I'm slowly getting caught up over here....

October brought lots of things.  A few shows, some playtime, and Halloween, just to name a few.

It also brought some new t-shirts, which we love and they are SO SOFT.  (Feel free to order from us -- it'll help with diaper purchases.😂)

We had a mid-week gig in Van Buren with the youth at FBC.  It's only 7 hours or so from our house to there and we used to leave the day of a show.  That's hilarious to me now.  Because 7 hours means 9.  So, we left on a Tuesday and spent two nights.

Fancy dinner in the room... and we always travel with trains.

Sister decided to start inchworm crawling while we were in the hotel.  Crazy how fast time flies!

Oliver loves to ride on the luggage cart whenever he can.  I mean, who doesn't??  It's our little ritual.  If the cart is full, he helps push.

We got to see some of our dearest friends while in town.  Not pictured?  Earlier this particular day when Amelia had a blowout on Heather.  She was a trooper.  😬

My sister and brother-in-law recently moved to the Nashville area.  Their son, Blake, spent the night one night.

Oliver's first sleepover was a success!

(Kind of:  Oliver woke up screaming at midnight, which is unlike him, and ended up in our room, Amelia was up every hour and a half and Blake got up at 5:30.  Haha!  But we had pancakes and bacon which fixes a multitude of tired and cranky attitudes.)

Blake left and we took Oliver to Touch a Truck.  It was a free event and packed.  And loud.  Lots of sirens.

We had fun, though.

October brought falling leaves, so we made the most of it!

Oliver fell in the driveway and luckily only busted his nose.  At first, I thought it was his teeth.  It doesn't look bad here, but it was not pretty once it started to heal.

We played a Sunday morning concert in Carthage, TN.  It's only an hour drive or so, so no need for a hotel.  That always feels weird to not have bags packed.  We successfully kept both kids up until we got home and we all napped.  🙌🏻

The next week, we left for Midland, TX.

It's a looooong drive, so we stopped in Texarkana.

Such a good boy in the car.

We got to the church (Mid-Cities Community Church) to sound check on Saturday night.  It makes Sundays go so much more smoothly.

Oliver agreed to sit on the potty!

She stayed like this for about 5 minutes.

Sweet boy...

We led worship for all 3 services.  It was a great morning.  Super long for the kids, though.

We rested after church and then went back to the church grounds for the outdoor concert.  Amelia and Oliver were well taken care of.

Sister and I were up and letting the boys sleep.  She played a bit then had a diaper explosion on this white sheet.  Trent scrubbed it clean before we left.

We stopped in Texarkana again and went to BWW.

When in TX, we always stop at a Whataburger, if possible.

Once we got home, we were there for about a month or so.  We enjoyed some Halloween festivities.

Pumpkin carving...

A local Trunk or Treat...

And neighborhood trick or treating.  We literally went to 3 houses. 😭 Then we passed out candy from home and had a great time!
