In January 2012, your daddy and I decided that we'd start trying for you in one year. That year flew by and before we knew it, it was January 2013.
And you and God were quick.
We found out about you on April 16, 2013 in a Holiday Inn Express in Fulton, MS. I had been feeling, for lack of a better word, "funny." I was hopeful you were in there and I really thought you might be. Mother's intuition, I guess. But even after that little, purple plus sign appeared, I could not believe it.
We stared at it. And cried and hugged. And stared at it some more. I was just waiting for it to disappear. Then at your daddy's suggestion, we left and went to the Walmart to get water and another test. I guzzled that water and was able to take the next one. Positive!!! We were officially in shock.
When we got home, I took another test. And then another. That's right, baby. That equals 4 positive tests. I kept one and put it in my box where my special stuff goes. (It's that one Papa Tuck made me.)
The time with you in my tummy is flying by and you'll be here before we know it! We've already created snapshots of memories together. The first time we saw you on screen, the first time we heard your heartbeat, traveling with you from coast to coast, then getting to see you look like an actual baby at our 20 week ultrasound. It has been quite the journey already and we cannot wait to meet you and hold you and snuggle you and kiss you.
This video is the start of your story. A story that we'll continue to write together.
We love you to the moon and back!
